Blog #8 - Vampire Eyes

"Welcome back to Family Feud everybody!" the sun was setting, and I was watching an episode of Family Feud while indulging in some left over, chocolate muffin form night before. I pulled the cover closer; it was starting to get cold in my apartment. I knew that my apartment the east wing, but I survived through the winter without getting hypothermia, so I was confused about that night. I took a sip of some hot cocoa that I made earlier to try and raise my body temperature so that I wasn't the next Mr. Evans.

As I finished the last bit of Family Feud, I could hear a faint whistling sound from the kitchen. I tried ignoring it to avoid having to get up and check it out, but the sound got louder and louder. I got up, annoyed by the realization that I can never relax without getting interrupted. I walked into the kitchen, and the window was wide open. Walking over to the window to close it, I was amazed by sight. All I could see was white. It was snowing, and it wasn't the average flurries but a snowstorm. It all made sense why my house felt like the inside of a freezer.

Ten minutes had gone by, and I was still sitting, staring out the window. I could hear Steve Harvey in the background making his judgemental remarks. I was too sidetracked by the amount of snow falling at such a quick rate. I hadn't been out of the house for a few days, so I guess I didn't feel the weather change. I finally tried to get up from the window, when two bright red dots caught my attention. I turned back around to see what it. A figure was walking casually through the snow, unbothered by the fact that it was probably 20 degrees outside. Besides the fact that this guy didn't care about possibly freezing to death, I was caught off guard by how inhumane he looked. He had spikey silver hair with eyes like a vampire.
"Aaahh!"
I was awakened by the loud shrieks of the children running outside. I had fallen asleep at my kitchen table. I guess you could say snow wasn't familiar to me. I walked to the restroom thinking about the man that I saw the night before. I looked in the mirror to see how unappealing I looked that morning. I looked over at my shower curtain through the mirror, and a very faint figure was standing there, but I was probably just seeing things. That has been happening for a few months now since the Evan incident.
