Blog #9 - Never Ending Cycle

The day started with my stupid cat scratching at my bedroom, but that wasn't what woke me up. what woke me up was the loud screeching from downstairs. I ran outside with my pajama shorts and two different slides on.
"What's going on," I asked
No one answered and I was once again back in the confused and clueless position I was in months ago. I couldn't handle this again. I slowly looked down the sidewalk to see what people were staring at and there laying on the hard pavement with cheeks as red as a tomato, lay Edgar. I couldn't believe my eyes. I was almost convinced that this town was starting to turn into murder fest.

20 minutes went by and the police finally showed up. I stood staring at the EMTs carried the lifeless body in the body bag. I walked back into the house to gather my thought and see evaluate what I just witnessed. I played on my couch trying hard to the pieces but I couldn't think straight.
*Ding* I looked over to my laptop to see what notification I received. I got up to check it out since my brain wasn't functioning correctly.
"URGENT" read the subject of the email. the email was from my colleague in Russia. "The Mission is complete" read the email. "No twins will be fooling with our jobs anymore"
I couldn't believe it! The mystery has been solved. The Russian hackers killed Evan and the brothers and who knew I could be next. I quickly started packing up. I called my uber ahead of time so I could leave as quickly as I could. Dropping clothes everywhere, I threw on the first tennis shoes I found and left within 15 minutes of reading the email. I didn't know where I was headed, but I knew The Maitland wasn't the place for me.
