I woke up that morning with a sharp pain on the left side of my neck. I tried moving my neck, but it felt as there was a medal rod placed verically, keeping my neck from moving. I laid back down and rested my eyes, hoping the pain would go away in a few.
"Beep", "Beep"! The alarm finally rang. I turned my neck left and right to see if the pain was still there. It hadn't fully gone away, but it was good enough for me to get out of bed. I quickly got ready, without a plan. I hopped in the shower and turned on the cold water to see if it would help with my soreness.
I left the house, desperately looking for my car keys in my junky purse, but couldn't help but be distracted by the party that was going on at the quarry, everyone was in the water with the exception of one guy with dark, straight hair. I thought to myself, how fun would it be if I just took one day off of work and, partied a little. I didn't bother going back and changing my outfit. As I tried to place my bag in the car, the envelope fell out of my bag. I quickly grabbed the envelope and ran to the dumpster near by to finally get rid of the envelope that was bothering me for weeks.
"Hi!" yelled a guy, holding a towel in his hand. "What you got there?" he asked.
"Nothing" I said while struggling to open the door to the dumpster. He kept insisting that I showed him what I had. I was trapped. I couldn't get the door open and I had this nosey stranger yelling at me to show him the envelope. I knew I had no choice, but to tell him about the envelope. Maybe talking to someone about it was the answer.
I told the guy about the envelope and how I got it and even about my job. I told him that i was a russian hacker and that I used my accountant job as a cover.
I waited for him to tell me that he would turn me in, but instead proceeded to tell me about a blue van that he saw earlier and how he thinks it might be related to the murder. Without any hesitation, we exchanged numbers and left the scene.
