Its another day and the town is still shaken up from the Evans case. I woke this morning with the urge to just let it all out. just, tell everyone about all the things going on in my life and the possible trouble that I may or may not be tied up in. Although it would have been a great feeling, I knew doing so would be a great deal for not only me but also the people of the town.
I quickly headed out of my small apartment as leaving my home was way better than staying in that dump. I knew that I had enough money to stay in the better apartments, but I couldn't blow my cover. I headed down to the small diner a few blocks away, only to be awaited by a few other familiar faces and Lamar. They were all sitting around a round table towards the back of the room.
"Halle! come join us" he yelled, as he aggressively guided me to the table. I finally settled down and even helped myself to some hot chocolate to avoid the awkward stares.
"We are all gathered here today to share the clues that we have to Mr. Evan's story because we all have a clue based on the questions I've asked you guys." I sat confused as to how he knew. He mentioned my envelope and many other clues he picked up on. I thought maybe he was peeping through the busted door when I was panicking.
The rest of the day was filled with many questions and my denial of any clues because I knew this case wasn't just about Mr. Evans.
