There on the kitchen table lies a big, orange envelope neatly sealed, just waiting for me to rip it open. I usually love surprises, yet this was not one I was looking forward to. "bang", "bang". I suddenly jumped, frightened by the break of silence from the unexpected knock. I quietly walked over to my weathered and beaten door, waiting to see if the knock would come again. I tried to look through the peephole yet the gloomy weather kept it foggy. I turned and started walking back to my kitchen table assuming that the knock had probably been from one of the surrounding apartments. "bang", "bang". This time louder with what seemed like a metal object, just ready to Peirce through the door. I decided to go ahead and ask, "who is it!" I yelled as I grabbed on to my long, brown hair, hugging it for comfort. Within a few seconds, a shrill voice yelled, "It's me!", "Lamar". "I wanted to know if you knew anything about Mr. Evans". A sense of relief ran through my body, finally giving me a piece of my mind back. "would you please open the door? I am not at all how the neighbors are describing me. I just want to ask a few questions" yelled Lamar. I quickly grabbed the envelope from the table and shoved it into one of the cupboards before running and opening the door.
After what seemed like an hour, Mr. Lamar left with absolutely no new information although he still seemed thankful. I didn't think he was that bad, but instead, I saw it as an opportunity to take my mind off of the envelope. within minutes, Lamar was up and running ready to embark his journey of figuring out what happened to Mr. Evans. I finally knew that it was time for me to open the envelope. I carefully ripped the sealing off of the envelope and pulled out what seemed like 20 pages of paper and 2 photographs. One of the photographs had a picture of a man standing in front of the office building that I was working at, yet was very blurry so I couldn't make out the face. the Second picture was Mr. Evans, tied up in a chair with a gun to his head. "Bang, Bang!" "Open up, it's me again. I just have one more question"
